The Development Teams Coaching Staff are employed by Lugarno Football Club to coach and manage our 10 development teams across Football Focus and NextGen. The club invests heavily in junior player development and have assembled a great team for 2024.
YOUTH TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Dean Harriton
Dean Harriton continues his role as Youth Technical Director for 2024 where he will lead the Development Teams Coaching Staff and manage the Football Focus and NextGen development programs.
Dean holds a rich, long 25 years history coaching football at the highest level in Australia in both Youth (SAP and NPL) and Senior systems alike spending time at organisations such as Sutherland Sharks, St.George City, St.George Saints FC, Endeavour Sports High School and Connells Point FC. He’s dedicated to help aspiring footballers reach their full potential using the most advanced, innovative and challenging, fun drills to hone their footballing talent.
Dean is also a qualified Sports Scientist, completing his Masters in Exercise Sports Science (majoring in Strength & Conditioning) and also holds a diploma in Sports Nutrition. On the field Dean continues to play premier league in the Football St.George Association, having done so for the last 30 years as part of successful premiership winning teams.
Dean has a real passion to make a difference at Lugarno Football Club and has set some lofty goals for the junior development at the club to reach in the club’s pursuit for successful teams that they can be proud of today and into the future.

Hayden Matthews
Hayden goes into his second season as a Development Coach with Lugarno FC in 2024 and continues to prove to be one of the most popular coaches amongst our juniors. He started his playing career at the grass-root level where he first discovered his love of the game and is keen to give back to junior development at Lugarno FC. Hayden is currently at Sydney FC and pressing selection for the senior team.

Alex Trajanoski
Alex is another coach going into his second season as a Development Coach with Lugarno FC in 2024 and like Hayden, is very popular amongst the club’s junior development players. He has represented the U16s National team and Schoolboys side and currently forging his career at the domestic level. Most importantly, he is back to where it all started having played for Lugarno in the U6 Bears side some years back and looking to coach the next generation at the club.

Angel Selikas
Angel will commence her first season as a Development Coach with Lugarno FC in 2024 and has made a great impression with everyone already. She started her football journey at the age of 4, mixing it with the boys until the age of 10 when she went off to play for the U16 girls side and didn't look out of place. Her path into NPL shortly followed when she represented St.George FC at age 11. This was followed by NSW Metropolitan East representation at the State Titles for 6 straight years, a stint at Koalas (Sprit FC), before finally ending her NPL journey at Inter Lions FC First Grade. Angel is really excited to work with the girls and be part of this program and is ecstatic to see the opportunities these young females have today.

Dionysios Vallianos
Dionysios joins the club as a Development Coach in 2024 as the programs continue to expand and grow. He started his football locally before representing St.George FA in the U8 COE system and continuing on into SAP and NPL duties for the club. Mid-teens saw a move to the Sutherland Sharks by way of Football NSW Metro Tournament representation and at age 16, Dionysis was selected for a camp for the U16 Australian Joeys team. It was post this camp where he made the move to Sydney FC where he has been up until now. Dionysios is eager to start working with the Lugarno FC juniors and give them an insight as to what it takes to succeed.

Con Nisyrios
Con will commence his first full time season as a Development Coach with Lugarno FC in 2024, having spent part of 2023 in a support capacity. He ended his playing career in 2019 after playing mainly for his junior club Marrickville Red Devils since 1981. He graduated to the State League squad as a 17 year old, playing at that level for a decade, winning one title in 1992. After this he played and captained both Marrickville and Connells Point Premier League teams, picking up six runners up awards. Con finished his playing career in the over 35s, representing both Marrickville and Earlwood Wanderers. He has previously coached at Trinity Grammar, Fraser Park and Connells Point and eager to work with the talent at Lugarno.
