Development Program - Code of Conduct

FOOTBALL FOCUS & NEXTGEN - CODE OF CONDUCT

1. All players are to arrive at Gannons Park or any alternative training venue prior to the stipulated training start time.

2. All player parents must advise their club appointed Game Day Coach or Manager if their child cannot attend a training session, along with a reason prior to the training session commencement.

3. All players to arrive for training wearing their issued Development team uniform (Jacket, Training Jersey, Training Shorts or Pants, Training Socks), shin pads, football boots, water bottle and be ready to start training.

4. All players to greet Coaches with a handshake upon arrival and also when departing.

5. All players must adhere to the instructions from Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton, Development coaches and Club appointment Game Day Coaches or Managers at all times.

6. All players must not use any physical violence on any other Player, Parent, Coach or Manager.

7. All players must not swear or ridicule any Player, Parent, Coach or Manager.

8. All players must respect all training gear, equipment and belongings of any Player, Parent, Coach or Manager.

9. Parents are welcome to watch the training sessions from the designated parent area at the venue only.

10. Parents are not to get actively involved in any training sessions with instructions or passing of water bottles etc. Coaches will approach parents if/when needed.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION

The club retains the right to remove any player from the Football Focus or NextGen programs that they believe is not following the Code of Conduct. Should Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton and/or one of the coaching staff deem a breach of the Code of Conduct has been made by any player or parent, the following disciplinary action will be enacted:

Strike 1Verbal Warning. Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton and the club appointed Game Day Coach will speak to the parent and issue the first official warning which is verbal. The coaches will outline the breach(es) to the parent. The first warning will also be communicated to the Junior Development Officers.

Strike 2 – Written Email Warning. Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton and the club appointed Game Day Coach will advise the Junior Development Officers that a second breach of the Code of Conduct has been made by a player or parent. The email will be sent to the parent outlining the breach(es) and confirm that the player will be stood down from all Football Focus or NextGen commitments (official match and training session/s) for a set period of time at the club’s choosing. The email will also confirm a return date for the player and advise that the player is on their last official warning. Upon returning, Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton and the club appointed Game Day Coach will discuss the matter with the parent.

Strike 3 – Termination. Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton and the club appointed Game Day Coach will advise the Junior Development Officers that a termination meeting needs to be organised for the player and parent. At this meeting, Lugarno FC Technical Director Dean Harriton, the club appointed Game Day Coach, Junior Development Officers and another member of the Lugarno FC committee are to be present. During this meeting, the breach(es) of the Code of Conduct will be outlined for the parent along with confirmation of the termination. There will also be a discussion about next steps.
